This is one of the must-see place when visiting San Francisco. The famous crookedest Lombard street with eight hairpin turns. Due to the steepness of the street which posed a safety hazard, a property owner in the 1920’s suggested creating scenic turns to increase the pedestrians’ safety and also adding aesthetic appeal to this area. I will say all tourists definitely must walk down this street at least once to see the beautiful views of San Francisco. But do note that as this is a popular tourist attraction, taking photos without people is almost impossible. Hint? Take more photos from different angles. After viewing the Lombard Street, you can choose to walk straight down to Coit Tower or turn left on Leavenworth Street which is a walking distance to the Fisherman’s Wharf.
